Gravity / Magnetic

Gravity Method

Gravity method examines the changes in gravitational acceleration.   In land practices, the small changes caused on gravitational acceleration by underground rocks and structures of different densities are determined and evaluated. As the result of gravity method practices at geothermal sites, information is obtained regarding regional and local tectonics, base elevations, and depressions.  The gravity method is a method that assists at geothermal energy explorations.

Magnetic Method

Magnetic examines the changes in magnetic field of the ground. In field applications, the rocks containing minerals with magnetic sensitivity, and their locations are determined. By its applications at geothermal sites, coated magmatic masses, rock masses which may have heating characteristic, dykes, faulted systems, and hydrothermal alterations are determined. It is not a direct search method for geothermal energy explorations.
